Hi! I am Surjo, a recent graduate from the Department of Computer Science at Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology. I completed my Secondary and Higher Secondary education in Bangladesh before pursuing my bachelor’s degree in India. I am currently planning to pursue a PhD in the areas of Computer Vision, Vision-Language Models, and Generative AI.

During my bachelor’s degree, I worked with Prof. Susham Biswas on research focused on structural deformation identification and analysis using machine learning. I also worked with Dr. Pallabi Saikia on theoretical and computational analysis of convergence and explainability in diffusion-based generative models for Vision AI.

Currently, I am working on Vision-Language Models under the supervision of Dr. Vinay Kumar Verma (Senior Applied Scientist at Amazon, formerly Duke University, USA) and Dr. Swalpa Kumar Roy (Associate Professor, Tezpur University).
